Rabies

Hello all. Can rabies be transmitted via a bloodless wound? My encounter was with a cat known to frequent the neighborhood. He seems to be clean, friendly, and reasonably well-cared for, but is an "outdoor cat." I was petting this cat a few days ago and received a few love bites. While the bites drew no blood, they did leave marks and caused my skin to swell, as any hard scratch might do.

While the cat seems to be heathly, we are unable to verify if the cat has an owner or has been vaccinated against rabies Should I be concerned for my own health?
