Please help me! Could Rabies transmit this way? Please help me! Could Rabies transmit this way?
Dear all, I am sorry for my bad English because I am from Vietnam! I am worried over the Rabies infection. Last week, my friends and I went camping, we cooked ourselves, and while we were preparing the lunch, I saw some wild rats and dogs running around the camp and the table( we put dishes and food on that table). I was afraid that the rat or dog could have eaten some food and we were possibly infected with Rabies Assuming that some rats or dogs had the food and left the infected saliva on food. Could I catch Rabies this way? Could rabies live outside the body on food for 2-3 minutes? I am very scared now! Please help me! Thank you,
Re: Please help me! Could Rabies transmit this way?Hi
No I don't think you have Rabies, because you have to be bitten by a rabid animal, and the signs of such animal is very distinctive. If you still worry about it, have a blood test done to confirm if you have it or not. If you do, then shots are in order If not your on your way to Buying A Stairway to Heaven!!!!!!! Re: Please help me! Could Rabies transmit this way?Dear all,
Does Rabies transmitt from touching something that is licked or bitten by Rabid animal? For example, I saw the pen lying on the ground in the ware house, I picked it then I accidentally bit it. I am afraid that the pen had been licked by a rabid animal or there were some rabies fluid on that pen, then I caught Rabies from bitting that pen. Please help me! Thank you,
Re: Please help me! Could Rabies transmit this way?Rabies is transmitted via a actual bite from a Rabid animal.
For your peace of mind, go to a Doctor and have them test you for Rabies. If found, you can be treated, if not your out of the woods. How do you know the pen was chewed by a Rabid animal? Did you catch this animal and have the animal tested for Rabies??? So relax and go to a Doctor OK Daveyo
