Gastric Dilatation and Volvulus Syndrome

My 7 yr. old lab has been xray’d and diagnosed with bloat (gastric dilation). I have recorded the bloating episodes (and sometimes vomiting) for the past year and a half. He has these once a month and this past year, often twice a month. We do everything right…no feeding for 2 hrs. after walks or an hour prior to a walk. I have been concerned about my 6yo Golden Retriever for well over a year now. I have taken him to to doc numerous times because he vomits and has diarrhea as many as 4 or 5 times per month. Lately his vomiting is not as productive and he has not been having normal bowel movements for over a week. He does not seem bloated but he does seem to have many of the other symptoms in the articles I have seen written. I have strong suspicions my doc is missing something.

I am frustrated too and I think I am going to change docs to see if I can get a different perspective. I don't know anything else to do.
