I have been very allergic to flea bites all my life. It's so bad that I'd often way up in the middle of the night to find myself scratching my legs bloody. Just now, at age 50, found a way to minimize that often eye-watering itching: Dawn dish soap.
Just put a small dab of Dawn or some other kind of dish soap directly on the bite and rub it in for a minute. It takes the itch away every time.
I often have to re-apply after a few hours, but that is a small price to pay for relief from that unbearable itch.
Anybody know why it is that dish soap stops the itch when antihistamines and lotions don't even make a dent in it?
