Cats with ticks

Post a new topicby jeanniemay on Sun Nov 04, 2007 9:51 am

Hi, I am a new user of this site. This morning I found a tick on my cats neck. We tried to burn it off without success, so I pluued it out. I didn't get the head. I am worried that she might get sick or even die. I coated the area with alachol, what else should I do for her???? I am very worried, Jeanniemay.

Listen DON'T BURN OUT THE TICK ON THE CAT. Holy mackerel. Get some tweezers and pluck it out and then place the tick on a hard surface and use your tweezer flat part and squash it till you hear the shell snap.

From that point on buy yourself some Frontline for your cat. Very good stuff and keeps the tick away and a cat smiling at you all day long. One application lasts a month.

good luck
