Feline Leukemia

Post a new topicby muzakguy on Thu Jan 17, 2008 8:50 pm

My cat is 15yrs old and has symptoms of feline leukemia He won't eat, lost weight, has diarrhea. Is there any home treatments I can give? Several vets have suggested, that at his age and symptoms he has, it may be best to put him to rest. After 15yrs of having my son, it's hard for me to make any logical decision. Any advise would be helpful.

Hi, I just joined. I have a three year old male cat who is positive for feline leukemia. Have you had your cat tested to make sure that is what he has? It is usually a young cat's disease.

Feline leukemia,,, usually strikes young kittens and cats up to the age of 2 or 3.
If your baby is now 15 years old... God bless it.... 15 years is a long life span for a cat.
With this many years,,, the poor body is getting tired and age is taking over.
The vet should do some test to see if it might be tumors or something else.
Good luck.
