Feline Leukemia Virus

I have 2 healthy male indoor cats at home, both age 3. Since they are 100% indoor cats, I have not been getting them the Leukemia vaccines. I'm considering volunteering at my local animal shelter. If I do, would it be advisable to now start getting them the Leukemia vaccines yearly, or am I unable to carry the disease home to them. I definitely do not want to put them at risk.
