Today was a very sad day for me. My cat has been very sick and a vet that I was taking him to just kept giving him Vitamins and antibiotic and sending him home. He’s been losing a lot of weight. He’s nothing but skin and bones. Today I took him to a different vet and found out he has Feline leukemia It’s not curable, he’ll eventually die. Thank god he isn’t in any pain, they said I can bring him home and just give him lots of love till he dies or I can put him down...Read the full article

You do not have to sit back and just watch your cat die. The vets you are going to are not giving you the full amount of information. Maybe they did and you forgot to mention it but, you could have got your cat a blood transfusion. This would have given your cat about 1 to 3yrs more. Not even after that would the cat die, because you can keep doing it till the cat dies of old age.

It however is pretty expensive at around $3,000 at a time, but, if you love your cat that much, money doesn't matter. My vet didn't give me full details on this either and I took the best option by putting her down. I then found out this information the very next day.

See, my vet told me about the transfusion, but, she said it would only give my cat a few weeks and it would need another one and so on. This was bull as I found out it gives years, not days or weeks. I would have paid the $3,000 every year if I was given this info when I needed it.

Sorry about your cat if it passed already.
