Neutering your cat with Feline Leukemia

I had my 1 year old cat with Feline Leukemia neutered four weeks ago. I think I may lose her today. I was not aware that a cat with a weakened immune system should not undergo surgery…I thought I was doing a good deed should my cat get outdoors and possibly infect another cat. I’m now doing a holistic approach to try to save her. Your feedback is appreciated.

I have a 7 month old kitten who just suffered her first viremic episode. She is on interferon and antibiotics. The doc said that she would certainly spay Daisy when the time comes. She told me that I just have to go in with my eyes wide open knowing the risks. I'm surprised your doc didn't tell you. There is a way that they do something with the anesthesia that lessons the impact or something. I don't quite know the details yet. In any case, it is too late for your kitty. Are you giving her extra vitamins like Pet-tinic? My kitty loves that. It's her dessert.

Good luck!
