This has to be the most devastating thing I have EVER experienced as a cat owner. I have never seen a disease do so much damage , so fast, yet be so elusive to properly diagnose as it hides behind symptoms common to other infections and viruses.

Hi Livingwith,

I completely understand your pain as a fellow sufferer. My cat Sweety has also been diagnosed with FELV yesterday.. She has lost weight and is dehydrated. However yesterdays antibiotics and IV seems to have gotten her in better spirits today. Added to that I am ensuring I feed her every hour and giving her liquids forcebly. i am not sure how long she will last. She also had White clouds in her eye I am not sure if she is going blind :( . I am also concerned about the 4 kittens she gave birth to and the 3 others which are not related to her but all of them are very close and cuddled each other. She being the oldest seemed to have taken all of em under her wing. cleaning them and even letting them suckle. But now I am scared they are also infected. I will also be taking them for a check up and vaccination. I am hoping that I get them vaccinated before its too late. I love them so very much.
Do let me know what happenned to your kittens/Cats. I pray they are all safe and there is hope for them.
