Feline Infectious Peritonitis

My buddy of 12 years ( KITTY ) has been diagnosed with the dreaded FIP My Vet a has suggested giving him Lysine but a friend at the health food store suggests also including mega doses of Vit C. I have started him on the vit c but he hates it and he is spitting it up on me.

From all the reading here i would much perfer to start him on Quinine, but i can't get any in this area.
Please if there is anyone out there that can guide me in the right direction it would be most appreciated.
