Re: MollyHello Karen,
I am so sorry to hear about your Molly. Please do not give up on your other kitty. From my understanding most Vets today do not believe FIP is actually contagious. In all actuality most cats, if tested will show positive for FIP. I learned through our ordeal with our beloved Captain that FIP can only be truly diagnosed with a biopsy. Because FIP has the same symptoms as many other conditions and illnesses it is extremely difficult to daignose. We have four other wonderful and healthy cats in our home and do not expect any of them to develope FIP but because they were all rescue cats would indeed probably show positive for FIP if tested. Be very careful of what you read on the internet about FIP and talk with your Vet. I hope this helps. Barbara
