My little Larry wasn’t eating as much as he usually does about 3 weeks ago, so after about a week we went to the vet to see what was going on. They found that he had a fever, high white blood cell count, spots on his lungs, and was dehydrated, and put him on an IV and some antibiotics. He stayed overnight and in the morning was doing better. His fever was down so that evening, after observing a normal temperature all day, they sent him home with antibiotics. I would suggest you join the FIP group at Yahoo Groups. Several of the folks there have had success using feline omega interferon for their FIP cats and kittens. You must have your vet get an exception from the FDA to use it since it is not approved in the US and order it from overseas. Several kind people there offered me some of their vials to use until I got my own supply, though I did not take anyone up on their offer as it is experimental, but can put your kitty into remission if you are lucky. Our little Brie just couldn't fight the disease and we had to say good bye to him a few weeks ago. I will pray for your Larry to get well.
