Imagine adopting a beautiful domestic long hair kitten in October 2006. She jumps on the furniture, she plays with her toys. She takes my bra and makes me chase her around the house to get it back. She lays on my lap, and sleeps on the bed.
It is now July 2007. She cannot walk, she cannot stand. Her head shakes all the time as well as convulsions in the rest of her body. She barely eats food, and she can no longer make it to the litter box. She just turned one year old.
