My cat is FIV + and has been suffering with stomotitis (sores in mouth) for 1 and 1/2 years.He had a Depo (steriod ) shot on May 12 then I took him last Saturday (May 24) to an oral surgeon Vet to see about having some teeth pulled....She put him on Clindamycin injection...my cat is 10 and 1/4 lbs...I started giving him the injection Dose: 0.2ml subq twice a day for 7 days and Enteralcare HLP for his weight (you can order on amazon) the cat is a different cat...He eats all the time, he started grooming himself., .which he had not done in months because his mouth hurt so bad ,his skin stopped flaking and he is even playing with our other cat..which he has never done...It like a miracle..I cancelled the appt for the teeth pulling and will see how he is doing in a month....Hope this helps anyone with the same problem

After giving my cat the clindamycin injections for 1 week , he is not eating this week as good as he did last week....I think the antibiotic helped but did not cure him of the stomotitis..so I am taking him in tomorrow to see if he could benefit from dental surgery
