Feline Immunodeficiency Virus

Hi

I adopted a rescue cat in April and I think he might be starting to show FIV symptoms (postively tested after being rescued). Last night he was fine until I picked him up to take to bed and he really started meowing. This morning he did use his litter try and had something to eat but usually he runs around playing with his toys but today he just wanted to stay away from me. Did pick him up but he starting meowing and then hissed at me as I put him down (this isn't like him). Phoned the Vet and they said just to keep an eye on him. He's eating, using his tray but doesn't seem himself.

Does anyone think this is a symptom starting to show?
