Feline Immunodeficiency Virus

hi, just yesterday my 8 month old, never been outdoor or in cat fights, got diagnosed via the blood test for FIV He has previously had bouts of cat flu and has a calcivirus lameness thing at the moment (reason why i went to the vet). He is otherwise healthy and the only cat, i am however a vet nurse so worry about bringing viruses etc home on clothes et. Just want advice on treatment, nutritional stuff, like to hear other peoples stories.
