Feline Immunodeficiency Virus

I'm going to see the vet early next week, but the signs the cat is showing is FIV and I see once she has it there's no cure. One of the treatments I read about is a diluted, oral form of interferon alpha, and if my cat has this disease I'm going to ask the vet about this oral medication. But just to see what I'm getting into, about how much will I be looking at for this medication?

Also, I read about supplementing the cat with vitamin C and echinacia. I have these in pills for humans. Will that work for the cat (about 2 months old), and if so what would the doses be?
