How is Nutmeg doing? A stray outdoorsy cat is a good candidate for FIV unfortunatly. All my FIV cats were strays, intact males. Yous aid he was diagnosed recently? Wasn't he tested when he was neutered? FIV cats can live long lives; keep him indoors, feed him well and try to keep secondary infections at bay.
