My Baby, Casey

Last week our vet Diaginosed Casey with FIV Casey is a indoor cat,and has always been on a leash with me when outdoors. So, he must have gotten it from his mother when he was a baby.
We took Casey to the vet because he was losing weight and seem to have trouble with his back legs not being strong. So, now what I don’t know!!

How old is Casey and was he vaccinated.. a vaccinated cat will test positive for FIV always unless they test for the antigen. Kittens don't have FIV..they test positive because when nursing they'd get the antibodies in the mothers milk. If Casey is a kitten I'd recommend retesting in 3 months. But they can be infected and it wont show until they are in the last stages.
