Re: Living with a FIV catGood for You! You heard what the vet said yet you followed your heart. I've adopted several dogs from the pound, each about a year apart. Out of four adoptions, three became sick within the week . Each time the vet would recommend that I return the dog and get my money back as it's chances were not good. I was always given three options for treatment. I always chose to take them home and care for them myself. They all survived, even the one with less than a 50% chance. It's in the TLC. It gives the dog the will to live to know someone cares. Bless you.
