Ill try to make a long story short. I got a ragdoll kitten in March. The breeder said she was sneezy but said not to worry unless she gets worse then take her to the vet. So anyways I took her home and had her for about a month and then she had the worst runny nose in the world and was acting almost drunk. She could hardly hold herself up to eat, but atleast she was eating. I took her to the vet cuz I was worried and they said it was a common kitten cold. They gave me medicine to give her and it seemed to go away in a couple days. Couple weeks later, she has a runny nose again and is sneezy and acting really weak and out of it. I took her to the an emergency vet and they prescribed me the same meds and said it was a cold or either she ate something toxic but I know she didnt. About a month after that I came home and saw she had goopy green stuff coming out of her eye, I was so upset I took her back to the emergency vet and they said it was conjunctivitus and gave me the same meds and some eye stuff. Her eye was better the next day, its like she didnt even need the medication. She had a goopy eye again last week, and again today. But it goes away in like a day and I dont know what to do. Ive done lots of research and im wondering if she has herpes but my vet said they dont test for it when I called . And im surprised they never suggested it. Is it like a complicated test or something, or they dont do it often? Is this normal for my cat to be going through? Shes all drugged out one day with a goopy eye and then shes fine the next. I dont get it. Should I take her to the vet again? Should I have her tested? Im worried sick and Im really frustrated. Oh and I started giving her Lysine just to be on the safe side, its been a week but no difference yet. I dont know what to do. Please help. Thanks.
