So I got a persian/himalayan kitten about 2 and a half weeks ago. Yesterday I noticed a few sneezing fits....today much worse, so I took him to the vet and they confirmed its feline herpes She gave me hydrochloride oral antibiotic, terramycin ointment for his eyes, and Viralys gel. She also gave him a benadryl shot which she said would make him drowsy/groggy which he definitely is. I'm looking for general advice on when to decide to take him back to the vet...how long does improvement with treatment tend to take? Are there signs that treatment is not working?

My little Bengal kitten is now 7 months old. He too was diagnosised with Feline Herpes at 3 months. We are now on about the third regimen of oral antibiotics, steriods, terramycin eye oint, I am about to pull my hair. The poor guy is no better. It has affected his right eye, all other symptoms have been cleared up since his first episode. Have you found help yet. Open to any information you might have.
