help diagnose

Post a new topicby turkish angora tabby on Tue Jul 14, 2009 2:31 pm

5 yr old kitty, 13 pounds started with vomiting kind of hairball throw up (6pm before that he was happy and playing). He threw up a large long hairball (with a ball hair at the end)/. After a while he wanted to throw up more but nothing will come out. Next couple of hours he seemed exhausted and salivating (bubbles like).

I took him to emergency after he tried to eat and threw up all of it. On the emergency room, Doctor checked him. Kitty cat had to be sedated ( he was pissed, very angry) in order to take X_RAYS and do blood work. Blood work ended normal. Kitty cat had only a bit of cholesterol and it showed that his white sells were fighting infection. Doctor couldnt tell what kind of infection he was fighting.

This is the facts:

Blood test showed everything normal (exellent said doc) except for just above normal cholesterol and the white cells and the fact that he had fever 103.6, a bit of hard stool, a bit of air in stomach for the angry stage.

Any ideas??? it's been 3 days and he is just not the same. He would eat but his reflexes are a bit slow, he is not as alert as before. HELP!!

Than you!
