Cat with bloody nose.

Post a new topicby Guest on Fri Sep 30, 2005 8:05 pm

I recently acquired a male cat looks to be around 2 years of age. He was very malnourished when i got him and has been slowly getting healthier. Recently he developed a dry cough, sneezing, and watery eyes. However, for the past three days has had a bloody nose off and on. It takes a very long time for it to stop bleeding. I took him to the vet and he is on antibiotics right now for possible flu, but what would cause the prolonged bloody nose? Could this be a prelude to FIV or feline leukemia?
