I have a 4 year old manx cat. He has never been a cuddly cat, except, of course when he wants attention. He is an indoor cat, and has recently found his way outside two times. The first time he was only outside for 5-10 minutes, I shood him back indoors, and he sort of "snapped," he started yowling as I have never heard him yowl, and hissing, and charging me with teeth bared. I got him out in the garage, and left him overnight, and he was back to normal the next day, except that I had found vomit in the garage where he had slept. The next time was similar, he got outside, once I got him back inside, he was actively trying to bite and scratch me, he also defecated and urinated as if by accident while in the window sill. He was in the garage overnight and fine the next morning, though I found no vomit.
He did this again yesterday, though he didn't manage to make it outside, I was potting plants on the floor of my dining room, and all of the sudden, he snapped, and started yowling at me, and charging me. I got him into the garage, but this time, he has not returned to normal. I peek into the garage, and he charges it, trying to bite and scratch me. I do not know what is the matter with him, I have never seen this behavior in a cat before. Any suggestions on how to fix this extreme behavior problem?
He has gotten all of his shots, hasn't eaten anything out of the ordinary, and does not get into my plants, nor has he had contact with any strangers.
