Home from the vet

When I took my male cat home from surgery (dental and wart removal on head) my female cat displayed agression towards him. I thought at first it was the smell and his awkward behavior since he was still under medication. It took about 3 weeks for my female cat to realize that the male cat is the same cat. I asked the vet for any advice since the female cat would growl and scamper away even when the male cat was just sleeping. The vet said some cats get stressed when there is something that looks different, I suspected that my female didn't like my male cat's shaved head spot or shaved arm where they administered the meds. Not sure if this helps any, but if your cat isn't lashing out maybe all it will take is a lot of patience.
