Need advice, 8 mth old pup has CCLR, what to do?

Post a new topicby mickie on Sat Jan 17, 2009 8:59 am

My 8 month old German Shepard pup was playing with his little friend and hurt his leg. He favored it for a few days, seemed to getting better, then hurt it again and had a bad limp. The vet did not take exrays but insisted it was CCLR. She gave him pain pills, said to wait a week. If was not better to call them and set up an appt. with a surgeon....

What should I do? I don't want him to go through surgery and maybe it can heal itself?......

Get the X-Rays first and then the MRI to determine if it is a rupture. If not, then treat it according to the problem.

Let me know the results of the X-Rays and MRI

Don't do any surgery until you have the facts in and contain your dog and keep it from walking all around until you get the diagnosis confirmed.
