Cranial Rupture but it's my cat

Post a new topicby my2cats on Thu Apr 30, 2009 10:29 am

My 3 year old cat, Albert, has not only the cranial rupture in his left hind leg, but also another problem in his knee that involves an older injury. Not only that, his right front leg has been amputated. I was told that "conservative treatment" might be an option but I do not think so because Al only has three legs.

The vet, here in Marin County, CA, has given me an estimate of between $1500.00 to $2000.00. I have been advised that this is extremely high for this kind of surgery. Can anyone tell me, especially if you have a cat, what I should be expecting to pay for this kind of surgery?

Thank you, my2cats
