on june 15th we took delivery (shipped by airplane) of our much anticipated clumber spaniel, patty turned 5 mos. that day. our family has wanted a clumber for at least 10 years and she was just perfect, everything we have waited for. by the weekend of july 11th, she was dragging her back end, not using her legs to get up at all.

I just wanted to let you know that we have just found out that our WONDERFUL Clumber Spaniel Nora has hip dysplasia as well. She's 3 years old and is a wonderful dog! We had no indication that she had hip dysplasia either - except that when she runs she always bunny hops, which we always thought was just Nora. Patty sounds like a great dog, and we just love having a Clumber as well! We're still exploring what our best options are to make sure that Nora is in the least amount of pain but still able to do the things she loves, so unfortunately I don't have any amazing advice. But I wanted to at least offer our support and tell you how much we love our Clumber, they are just the best dogs! Good luck with Patty, I hope that all goes well with her.
