My son (14) recently had something that looked like a bite on his calf. It quickly turned into a very sore ,red, inflamed, puss filled wound that hasn't closed up completely for 4 weeks. We didn't take him to the doctor because it seemed to react to flushing it with hydrogen peroxide after pressing the puss out. After about a week the puss stoped and it oozed blood. It took another week to scab up and eventually stop oozing. Just when we thought it was over another spot showed up. This time I took him to the doctor. The doctor thought is looked like a staph infection and treated it with antibiotics. The second spot cleared up within a week, but the original scab is still there and occassionally oozes puss or blood. It isn't sore, just wierd. Any suggestions?
