Re: think my puppy is dyingHi onelove,
Has your vet done any tests yet? The most reliable one to have him determine if it's Distemper is the Brush Border Smear. They take cells from the inside of the bladder and look at them under a microscope. The results come back pretty fast if they have the facilities to do that on-site, otherwise I think Antech Labs will analyze it. This should be done ASAP. So far it doesn't sound like there's enough information to have a diagnosis. If he can determine that it's Distemper, here are some links to get you hooked up with the right help to treat it. If it is, then it needs to be treated promptly. Dr. Sears (the originator of the treatment) has recently started his own website and has updated the process slightly from previous versions. You can print out the instructions (found under the section "For Vets") and bring or fax them to your vet. http://www.treatment4distemper.com/ Daveyo's site is at: http://www.caninedistemperproboards60.com/index.cgi And here's another new site on Facebook just recently started by Ed Bond to organize people with Distemper dogs: [moderator note: website address has been removed] I have a blog documenting my dog's struggle with Distemper and success with NDV: [moderator note: website address has been removed] I'm working on linking all these sites so that people looking for help can easily get in contact with all the help they can get as quickly as possible. Sincerely, Pippit
Re: think my puppy is dyingHi I am Daveyo
Please be advised that your situation is not Distemper but rather Respiratory Herpes or otherwise known as Fading Puppy Syndrome. You need the Serum to save these pups. Usually the first batch and first born all die off, since the mother got infected from the male dog or that mother was infected previously from her mother etc. It passes around Respiratory Herpes in pups. From the second set of pups onward all survive. Why, ask the genetics factory, hehehehehe. Hope this helps and if you can have a VET to make the Serum, please go to my site for the process to make it at [moderator note: website address has been removed] and you can find the process under medical protocol under topic of Canine Distemper. Let me know how you are doing. Daveyo
