Canine Distemper

We have an 11 week old Lab mix we adopted from the Humane Society 3 1/2 weeks ago. The Humane Society had to close 3 days ago because of a distemper outbreak. 2 of my puppy's siblings were put to sleep today because they had distemper 9both have been exhibiting signs for about 10 days). My dog does not have any symptoms but I am very worried. He has doubled his size, eats like a horse, he does have some diarrhea but we just changed his food. I am not sure but it seems like 3 1/2 weeks is a long time and he should be showing symptoms if he has the disease. The puppies were in the same kennel at the pound. He has had 2 distemper shots but...I am not sure what to do. Is there something I can do to make sure he does not get it? He was seen last Tuesday by a vet and she said he does not seem to have it but she can't say 100% that it won't develop. I have tried contacting the pound to see if any of his other siblings (litter of 8) have been seen or diagnosed with it, but they are not returning my calls (they have been incredibly busy lately). I may go up and talk to them in the morning though. Help!

I did not put the 2 dogs down. There owners contacted me to tell me what had happened. I will get a hold of you and see what can be done.

Sorry, did not know you had to be the one being told of the bad news ehhhh. It must have bothered you a lot.

Now the question is>>> Do you have a dog yourself that you being concerned of if your dog got infected or not from these other people???
