Question for Daveyo

Post a new topicby roby on Mon Apr 07, 2008 6:09 am

Hi Daveyo,
I am from Romania (Eastern Europe) and I have a puppy (3 months old) with distemper He is treated for about 2 weeks with Canglob (hyperimun serum) and sustaining treatment but with no visible result except holding down the disease. I read your posts and I wish to try your cure but how can I trust you when nobody confirmed the results even if you posted about the cure about 6 months ago and still. Also you don't know to convert weight measuring units and keep posting 1 pound = 2,2 Kg which is WRONG.
1 pound = 0,4536 kg (1 kg = 2,2 pounds so you know something but upside down). I doubt worldwide VETS don't use go0gle, didn't found this information your spreading and not wanting to try even if I know a lot of Vets willing to try everything to save the little animals. As example in my case the vets are treating my dog for free. The medication is also donated therefore they aren't trying to rob me for money or to sell me expensive drugs.
I can't wait to hear some answers from you and if you want to talk about more you can write on my email adress "[moderator note: e-mail address has been removed]"
Sorry for my bad english.

yes you did and you also sent me all the information on email but unfortunatelly yesterday I put him to sleep forever because he was in the last stage of the disease with awfull pain. We didn't got the chance to administer your treatment. Thank you for all your help. Me and my wife miss him very much and can't stop crying.
All of you having a dog with distemper don't waste any time. Forget about all other treatments your VETS are willing to try. This is the cure.
Newcastle disease virus and canine distemper are from the same viral family "Paramyxoviridae" so if your VET missed this lesson in school you should tell him about.
Time is ticking away.

My condolences to you and your family at your loss. Been trying to tell people about this for a long time, and most unfortunate when they don't believe me until its too late.

It is very important to recognize the signs of this disease. Most dog owners will not notice until the stools start getting soupy. At this stage your about the middle of the disease cycle. Most never think about this.

Anyway, take an easy, and hopefully you can recollect your thoughts and find another dog. Don't bring any dog in for minimum of 30 days. The virus has a habit of incubating for up to 14 days. Clean everything up, including the toys as well. Use bleach mixed with water.

When you get another dog, please make sure that VET does the Brush border smear of the lining of the bladder. This is the best test, and so easy and definitely can tell you right then and there if the dog is infected with Canine Distemper If it is, either you can save that dog with the NDV or I don't want to say it since it is against my ethics.

Take care

Daveyo
