I am Kiran,from India.I hav a small pup.i dont know its breed,but it was cute white one and I ever had seen such a cute pup,but now it was caught by Canine Distemper I was not aware of this disease.My dog is in severe condition.my vet says that let the medicine continue,some times it may rescue,but i am very much disappointed by the condition of my dog,it is crying painfully,I am giving it the medicine Rhustrox 30(its a homeophetic medicine),Polybion syrup,Phidnisolon tablet,Now he advised to give him Neurobion tablet also.But now my baby is in severe condition,it cannot stand,its having shivering,its not taking food from yesterday and it eyes are dropped.He is looking at me with a symphatic face.Plzzzzzz anybody give me a reply,I like my pup verymuch

I am not sure if you can save your dog based on what you have described here and its condition. However if you act quickly and find the Newcastles Disease Virus Vaccine of the LaSorta Strain you might have a chance. First you have to do the body injection and it is based on the weight of the dog. 0.1cc for every pound or 0.45kg If between add another 0.1cc of NDV.

This has to be injected into the blood vein of the dog prefer on the front legs just above the paw and below the elbow part. You will need a clean syringe, a rubber strap and a small razor to remove the hair so you can see the blood vein. What you do is first weigh the dog, and then go by the formula given above. Take the sterile Diluent that comes with NDV and add it to the vial. Mix it up and then take the syringe and withdraw all the contents from that NDV vial. Go to the dog and then insert it at an angle to penetrate the vein. If you cannot do this then find any kind of nurse who knows how to work with needles.

Once you have it in the vein pull back on the plunger a bit to see if you have blood going into the syringe. If you see it, then inject the NDV and before your finish then release the rubber strap that was around the upper thigh of the same leg and let it flow into the system.

The cure in the body takes 24 hours.

After that you need to do the NDV-CSF tap. You will need to find a VET who can insert a needle into the spinal area at the Foramen Magnum ( cerebral cranial cavity) just below the back part of the skull and just above the spinal column dead in the middle. Please do not do this yourself. It takes a VET with experience to do it just right. The cure to prevent neurological problems is 24 hours.

The formula for this particular is based on the size of the dog mainly its breed. Ask the VET to tell you what breed it is. Toy dogs get 0.1cc of NDV, small dogs get 0.2cc, medium dogs get 0.3cc, large dogs get 0.4cc and giant dogs get 0.5cc.

You can find NDV at any agricultural poultry store and or any chicken farmer and they will point you in the right direction. Make sure you keep it refrigerated until time to use it. One vial is good for a 30 pound dog or 66kg. You will need one extra vial of NDV for the CSF tap.

But my pup is now in severe condition.I think he lost his vision now.His is not able to lay in the floor as an usual dog does,his head goes to either side of the body & he is crying always.He cannot eat,if I give some milk by the help of a filler,he just lick it & 3 or 4 filler milk only he drinks.By yesterday night there forms round wounds in his stomach and today it gets yellow colour.Can I save my pup with your way of treatment,I dont want to give him anymore pain,becoz I loves him a lot.If I treat my pup by this way,can i get him as the old cute one?Is there any chance to get back his vision?Also my vet says that,in my country this facility is not available.

Yes if you give the NDV body shot now and do that NDV-CSF. You have to stop the virus and its C4 T Cells which is causing all the damage.

There is a very good chance if you do this immediately both ways as I have instructed the blindness can go away depending on the dogs genetics and if it has enough time to begin the recovery process.

Once both shots are done, it takes about 30-45 days before the recovery signs begin. In some cases it is sooner.

You have to do it now or it will be too late. The rest is up to you to take action immediately
