Desi/Golden RetreiverDaveyo,
I couldn't get back into the original post that was "Question For Daveyo" Desi is the 13 1/2 month old Golden Retriever that at 8 months old was spayed and 10days later began having seizures. I saw a new vet today and she said like the other vet that we can't do a spinal fluid test on Desi. She says I would have to travel oabout 300 mile to go have this done. So I can't find out for sure that Desi has Neurological distemper She never has had a couh, or eye goop, or nasal discharge. Just the seizures and blood red eyes. I wanted to say this what I thougt to be mange was a staph infection and she got antibiotics today for this. So this young dog has had bacterial infections of the ears, for which I have medication for, bacterial infections of her kidneys where they were bleeding, and now a staph infection. She is on .5mg of levythroxine. I began this about 5 days ago. She did begin to seize but this time she is only have 1 seizure per day with the exception of 2 yesterday. This is progress from having approximately 10/day lasting about 5 days. I am the one that is poisoned. I have Mercury, Lead, Nickel, Arsenic, Titanium, and Uranium poisoning. I am suspecting possible Flouride as well because they put it in our water. Sincerely, Claudeya W.

Oh boy, sorry to hear of that kind of poisoning. Please buy bottled water from a store and avoid the tap in your house. As of the rest is this inside your home. If so, get out of there, and move out and find another safe place and sue the dickens out of the builder or owner of that home. Of course if you own it, sue the builder. I still not know your location > are you in USA or in Europe??? Do make the travel for the 300 miles but call and confirm first before making the trip. Sorry to know you have to travel so far, but that tap test is essential Claudeya. You need to make sure if it is Distemper or not. If they are also willing to do the tap get the NDV (Newcastles Disease Virus Vaccine of the LaSorta Strain and bring it with you. Both for the body and the cerebral area. The body is based on weight of the dog and it is 0.1cc for every pound or 0.45kg, and the cerebral is based on the size of your dog. You mentioned here being a retreiver, so you would fall in the medium class to large dog. This will require either 0.3 or 0.4cc of NDV plus 0.1cc of saline by the VET and they need to take out total of either 0.7cc or 0.9cc of spinal fluid of which the VET leaves 0.3cc or 0.4cc in the syringe and mix it with the NDV as I gave above and inject plus 0.1cc of saline to flush the needle from the hub. So when the VET takes out 0.7cc (medium breed) of spinal fluid have them remove 0.4cc of spinal fluid and put into a sterile vial to send out for testing, and then leave 0.3cc of spinal fluid in the syringe and add 0.3cc of NDV and inject and then flush out with 0.1cc of saline. Same amount taken out same amount put back in. Don't deviate of the Dx formula OK. If it is 0.9cc (large breed) then the VET will have to remove 0.5cc of spinal fluid, save to a sterile vial, leave 0.4cc of spinal fluid then mix with 0.4cc of NDV and then add 0.1cc of saline. Same amounts OK. The reason of the size of the dog the bigger they are the longer the spine and more fluid and bigger as well. So size is the indicator based on the breed of the dog. Stay in touch OK It is possible your dog is poisoned as well that is why I want you to do that test. I hope you understand. Those seizures are getting to be dangerous for your dog. Start a phenobarbital regimen right now of giving 8.145mg every 24 hours or 16.5mg. If you can. You need to slow down those seizures as quickly as possible. Every time the dog seizes more brain damage and more destruction of the myelin and Schwann cells. That is why NDV will stop this mess and kill the virus and stop the progression of ODE. That is if the dog is confirmed Distemper antibodies in the CSF. I think it is there but other things are coming into play due to your poisoning situation, so ................ play it safe first get the tap done and be certain. OK Daveyo
Re: Desi/Golden RetreiverDaveyo,
I cannot get the tap done. I am disabled and unable to travel this distance. I don't have the finances to travel. I have no one to help me do this. I suspect poisoning with Desi as well. Desi is on 3/4 gr. of Phenobarbitol every 12 hours. We live in Visalia CA. There is uranium and arsenic in this area. Uranium because of the air, water, soil, food, and military base. Arsenic because of agricultural spraying. I lost the house I originally lived in because of the poisoning. Not the house fault. But so sick I couldn't afford to take care of everything. I don't drink the water, I drink distilled. Could you please inform me on all of the strains of distemper? I am always wanting to know what is going on and how. Thank you for your help. Claudeya W.
Re: Desi/Golden RetreiverHi Claudeya W
Ok, this is what I want you to do. I want you to contact Sears Veterinary Hospital in Lancaster California. This is Dr. Sears hospital. Dr. Sears sold it to another Doctor there, but they still carry on his name. So look in the phone book, or dial 411 which is information and they will give you the phone number to this hospital. Call them right now and they are opened. Ask to speak to the attending Doctor there and follow their instructions. They can do taps for you and also know where to send such etc. They also know the NDV and the Serum procedure completely. You are in Luck if your in California. Let me know what they say. They might even contact Dr. Sears if you request it so, and he might get in touch with you. I also suggest you get a lawyer and make a big LAWSUIT on your issue because if you are getting poisoned I am sure many others are suffering the same conditions. You speak of Uranium and that indicates that there has to be mining or a uranium process plant in your area, and certainly it makes sense if there is a military base around as well. Also get the news people involved. Someone has to take the responsibility for all this and the sickness everyone is experiencing. Daveyo
Re: Desi/Golden RetreiverDaveyo,
I think I am having a communication problem??? This is not unusual for having a poisoned brain. First of all I can't get to Lancaster. It is almost as far as UC Davis. And as far as getting a lawyer I have tried. I even went as far as to get the lawyer who has been working on the amalgams, and autism cases. But I got no response. There are many here that are poisoned. Whenever someone from this area gets a hair analysis uranium is the major poison, except in my case, mine was Mercury then uranium. No one will touch the case an no one here is willing to stand up and fight. I am osrisized from the medical and pretty much from the vets now too!!! I have gone to newspaprers, and broadcasting but no one will handle the story. By the way what are the different strains of Distemper? Sincerely, Claudeya W.
Re: Desi/Golden RetreiverHi Claudeya W;
I am working overtime regarding your case. I have made contact to Dr. Sears and will hear from him shortly. In the meantime, is it possible you can arrange a trip via train or the Greyhound Bus and bring your dog to Lancaster as a carry on so they can do something for you????? If the situation is that bad in your city there, if it was me, I would get all my duds together and move the hell out of there and find a better place as quickly as I can. Your dealing with radioactive material, and Uranium is the worst of its kind short of being in the middle of a nuclear fallout. Its lifespan is incredibly very long. You must be located at some nearby Uranium process plant, that is either active or de-activated. If there was such plant, the city is doomed!!!!!!! The area is considered a Super Hot Spot radioactive wise for minimum of 10,000 years. Yea, that is how long it will take to get down to safe levels. It is already on the ground. The wind, the cars, people walking around, in the grass, in the water, the dust itself inside the homes, in the trees everything. Every inch is contaminated. How deep depends on how much radiation is present and they will have to bore a drill down the dirt to see how deep it went etc. Right now I would say as a guess maybe a good 15-20 feet down. The radiation is extremely very powerful and it penetrates very deep. If you have a geiger radioactive detector, that little detector should be going off every area you enter or where ever you go. Don't know what to say. I will let you know once Dr. Sears make his return response back to me. So be patient. Daveyo
Re: Desi/Golden RetreiverDaveyo,
Thank you so much for your help. I am broke I just spent 194.00 yesterdasy I live on social security disability. I have been trying to get out of here for the last couple of years. But I have no money and no where to go. But you are correct about the radiation here. The worst part is they want to put a nuclear plant in Fresno about 50 miles north. I cnant travel. I am too sick. I know that it might be hard to understand this but it is true. Sincerely, Claudeya W.
Re: Desi/Golden RetreiverHi Claudeya W
Seems you have a serious fix and a major problem. Right now if I were you I would have to put certain things in order and seek FHA help to move out. As of your dog, both the MRI and or the CSF tap test can confirm if your animal has Distemper. Also based on the fact of having so many seizures, it is hard to say how much longer it will survive because every time there is a seizure more brain damage will occur. So you have two options. Find a VET and do the NDV-CSF tap as instructed and hope for the best because that NDV will stop the progression and the mess on your dog. The other is > I hate to say it, but please consider putting it out of its misery and concentrate on your survival due to your financial situation. I did get word from Doctor Sears and here is his exact words after giving him all your posts and I wanted his opinion as well if there was any chance at all> """"No, not much hope for this lady. She cannot afford what is necessary to confirm her problem. CSF tap or MRI. Either one would confirm her problem. Both expensive. Without this information you are just guessing and treating which may be completely worthless. Her best bet is to euthanize this dog and start over. Doc.""""" That is what he said. Bottom line. I gave you my option as above to give the dog a chance, and the rest now is upon your shoulders. Getting all the meds necessary for your dog is also eating away at your budget, and I have no idea if you have a family that can help you or some good friends far away from the place that can help you at least get your feet back on the ground and start over. It is either your life or the dog or both of you. That is what your dealing with right now. Getting the NDV itself is not a budget cruncher and neither is it that expensive. About 3-4 dollars per vial USA cost. You only need one to do the tap and give it the injection. The cost is the VET doing the tap for you, plus the cost of anesthesia, anti-shock meds and syringes and needles plus some I.V. and a little saline and his labor. What they will charge I have no idea. The Doctors here in Thailand do such tap for around 750 Baht to 1,000 Baht for everything involved. NDV costs only 7 baht per vial. Translates to USA cost is between 23 dollars to 31 dollars and the NDV is 22 cents a vial. Also with all the poisoning going on with you, it certainly is not helping the dog either, because that dog is also getting poisoned as well. So both of you are in a pickle. I cannot tell you what to do, this is all your own decision and it appears that you must now make that decision. You are at the crossroads now like a T. Either go left or right but you cannot go forward any further. If you do both of you .............. Can't say it. Daveyo Let me know what you decide to do.
