HI I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE MY STORY. I HAVE A GERMAN SHEPHERD AND HER NAME IS SANDY. IT ALL STARTED WHEN SANDY WAS 6 MONTHS OLD, SHE GOT REAL SICK. SHE JUST LAID THERE AND SHE WAS VOMITING AND SHE HAD THIS SAD LOOK IN HER EYES. SHE HARDLY MOVED, I WAS REALLY WORRIED ABOUT HER. MY UNCLE AND AUNT WERE VISITING AND MY AUNT SELLS VITAMINS. Definitely not Distemper. Your dog had and probably still does have a bacterial infection in the intestines, and might have worms. I suggest you start giving some worm medicine, once every 3 weeks for 3 times and then once a month. Be advised to also give your dog some heartworm protection once every month and keep the Vaccinations up to date and timely.

Intestinal disturbances and vomiting without bloody stools is a good indicator and most of the time a shot of antibiotics such as chloroampenical -3 shots does the trick provided your dog stays hydrated.

Dehydration is a very serious sign of intestinal infection on dogs. If this happens go to a VET immediately and treat it and test the stools at the same time. Parvo is one of the diseases similar to intestinal disturbances and it is nothing to play around with.

Holistic methods cannot stop viruses and never will.
