Dear LCK, how are things with Prince now?
My old dog was diagnosed with Kennel Cough and had 17 days of anti-bio`s….He was okay, no coughing, eating fine ETC. Out of the blue he had two massive convulsions (spelling,sorry), I have only just now read and found what the ‘chewing gum’ may have meant. They both started with this.
I rushed him to emergency vets, and he was put to sleep. I don`t know what he died of (it cost so much, I could not afford to find out).

Livingwith, I sort of seem to remember this name and I told you it was Distemper. Hmm, sorry to hear of your loss.

Clean out your house floors with bleach. If you got rugs, use rug cleaner done by a professional. All old toys get rid of it and start new.

The virus usually stays for about 30-60 days depending on the environment in the home. Sunlight kills this virus that went dormant instantly. After 60 days the infected areas are clear of the disease. Then you can bring in a new pup.

Be vigilant on your vaccinations and you should be OK
