i have two yorkies they were infected but the percentege of the virus was very low. my vet - very professional - proposed a treatment with cinoglobulin. they are fighting for their lives and probably they will survive. this disease is a killer, but if you love your babies i think you should fight with them till the last circumstances. sorry my native language is spanish. there is always a hope, don’t accept the alternative of the eutanasia, fight and God will help you and your babies.

Hi I am Daveyo.

That VET is dead wrong. Cinoglobulin will not cure Distemper but only aggravate it. You need to find NDV (Newcastles Disease Virus Vaccine) LaSorta strain from any Agriculture Poultry store. Use the phone book to find the nearest place. Weigh the dog and the Dx is 0.1cc for every pound or 2.2 kg. If between add another 0.1cc and then have the VET inject direct to the blood vein of that dog and the cure is between 12-48 hours usually 24. Also get one extra NDV in case your outside of the 6 day window of onset of the disease because Distemper will breach the blood brain barrier from day 7 on. The Vet in doing the CSF tap will need to give your dog Anti-shock meds, anesthesia, IV, and the NDV and Saline solution to do the job. Dx is 0.2cc of NDV mixed with 0.1cc of spinal fluid, and 0.1cc of saline to flush the needle hub. Surgery is to be done at the Foramen Magnum of the bottom base of the skull near the cerebral cranial cavity. Cure is 36 hours.

If your dog is way into like 20 days of this disease it will undoubtly have secondary side effects both from the body and the neurological aspects.

Anything else is a waste of time. So the rest is up to you to save your dog. I just gave you the cure answer. Saved over 600 dogs.
