Calicivirus

My stud cat has been diagnosed with calicivirus and the vet said he has the lowest strain she nows only sneezing is preasent my vet said it will pass after 2 to 3 months however he has been sneezing 2 months now. She said when it passes there is nothing to say i can not carry on using him as a stud.
Is there any one else who has used a stud who has had this condition and if so has it affected the kittens.
