Something's wrong with my kitten....

Post a new topicby emma uchiha on Wed Jul 30, 2008 8:44 pm

My kitten recently started acting differently. I don't know what's wrong, or even what could be wrong. She's about 7-8 weeks and lives outside. Her symptoms are:

-Tipping it's head to the side; can't seem to lift it back up
-Coughing/Sneezing
-Ear Discharge
-Vocal Change/Frequent Mewing (She was very very VERY quiet before)
-Neediness; If I leave her side she screams
-Disorientation, often resulting in collapsing (Probably due to head being tipped)
-Increase of appetite
-Eyes look glazy, as if she's looking right through me. (She can see, but she just looks dopey or something.

I'd love it if someone could tell me or give me some pointers as to what's wrong...

Go see a vet please. You need a doctor to see physically and then run some tests to find out whats wrong. Do check for FIP.

Well THAT'S a big help... Of course I already did that, I'm not stupid.

The vet doesn't know what's wrong. I did some research and learned it could very well be vestibular syndrome, but unfortunately, the kitten was too young to have the surgery...

What's FIP...? Nevermind, I'll find out myself.

It wouldn't matter anyway though. My little Fuzzy Bumper passed on two days ago.

I looked up FIP, and none of the symptoms match...

Hmmm, OK here is my answer to you

You first come to this forum and then throw a post here expecting someone to help you with your problem with the symptoms and NOTHING MENTIONED YOU GOING TO A VET or even if your cat had any vaccinations etc etc.

Then you bite back after I make the suggestion to go see a VET

Then you say your not stupid - please look at yourself in the mirror and ask who are you to me????

Then the VET is not able to help you out because why???????????

Then you did not even know what FIP is

But you suspected something else.

Now the cat died two days ago.

Reading your post here saying the cat is always outside- any takers here?????.

Why didn't you figure possibly Rabies. Oh that is right you not thought of it or never took your cat to the VET and tried to do it all by yourself.

Have a good day.

Many here know me in this forum and I have done a wonderful service to these people and I save animals, and I do have my own site as well.

Quite frankly you just now pissed me off.

Being beligerent and snobby and what else will not cut the mustard with me.

Next time you have a problem don't bother us here. Bother someone else.

Comprende.

Hey, don't get all snippy. I didn't mean it as a "bite back". And I didn't realize I had forgotten to mention that I took her to a vet. I also didn't realize I didn't touch on her living conditions much. She was mostly outside, but in a small enclosure with her mother and litter mate.

Also, my vet doesn't know his rear end from a hole in the ground, and the next nearest one is about 35-40 miles away. We're in the middle of nowhere.

Correction, the KITTEN died two days ago.

Hehe... cut the mustard.... That's an old one.
