Hi I am Daveyo, and one of the experts of this particular disease. Please tell me all the information concerning your animal. What symptoms does it have, how did you determine this disease factually, and when was this disease discovered, and any vaccinations given and do you have any CBC information to give to me.

There is a medical cure for this disease both for the body and the CSF but I need to know the above information as accurate as possible and nothing left out. This medical cure only takes 24 hours on average both ways.

So please respond as quickly as you can.

hi daveyo....good day...the night that i wrote to you pepper is suffering from his siezure....it started in cough then he has colds...his vet gave his 1st shot then after a week for his 2nd shot his vet decided not to give his 2nd shot because peppers is sick....last dec 31 that is the 1st time of his siezure....then after that i just thought that it was just nothing.....because i saw pepper loves to eat still....then here comes jan.1st his siezure is non stop.....there is a time that when he siezure he's defecation and his urination is involuntary...so here comes jan3....its geting worse so i decided to bring him to vet since im in our province it took time for me to go to his vet's place....then when we arrived there his vet told me after mentioning the sympotms told me that its distemper....the vet gave 2nd generation anti biotic but pepper condition still detoriated the vet told me that its too late so save him because he's already in the neurologic phase of ditemper....but still we hope that pepper will be save so we decided to confine him.....but still......next morning i think pepper's condition is getting worst...i dont wanna see him suffering from siezure.....every now and then....so just to end his suffering.....we have to the last resort (vet's advise...eutanasia)....its really hard on my part to do that..but i know deep inside me that we have to do that....it really hurts :(
but anyhow...im planning to buy a new puppy.....i'll keep u posted....and i'll ask more question more from u...thank u for listening.....

Sorry to hear of your bad news. I wish you could have contacted me first before doing the final walk on the plank with your dog.

Yes there is a cure for your dog even in the last stages of it as long as the animal has 24 hours or more to live. The cure is Newcastles Disease Virus Vaccine of the LaSorta strain. For the body injection the Dx is 0.1cc for every pound, or 0.45 kg. You use saline to mix the vaccine since it comes in dry form. The injection is done direct to the blood stream of the animal. For the CSF to stop the seizures the formula is based on the size of the dog at time of injection (which is the total actual size of the animals physical structure. Because the spinal length varies due to species etc. Example for a Toy size animal the injection is 0.1cc of NDV with 0.1cc of spinal fluid (mixed) and 0.1cc of Saline to flush the needle hub. The VET basically removes total of 0.3cc of spinal fluid and discards 0.2cc spinal fluid to another vial to send to the lab for official confirmation of the disease. The CSF tap procedure is done at the foramen magnum (the bottom base of the skull in the back right above the spinal cord cerebral area).

The cure for both procedures takes 24 hours. After that your animal is immuned for life against Distemper disease and you must never give it Live Modified Parvo Vaccine. Does not suit well at all with NDV. Killed Parvo is fine no problem. I do advise if the VET is going to do the CSF tap make sure he has the ultra sound pic and indicator to tell him precisely where the needle is going as he or she does the injection to prevent spinal cord injury which can cause many problems or even death.

Over 600 dogs have been saved via the body route and I discovered the cure for the neurological part in November of 2007 along with another DVM. So far about 6 dogs have been saved, of which 2 of them are mine.

Yes you do have NDV there, and of course Dr. Loubinar as well. I was married in the Philippines by the way back in 1991. Anyway Dr. Loubinar is well aware of the treatment and cure for Canine Distemper as the network gets expanded. We do talk together once in awhile.

No problem will stay in touch.
