My Kitten's Nose

Post a new topicby LokiNef on Sun Sep 07, 2008 2:09 am

I'm going to the Vet on Monday to get it checked, but just wanted to see if anyone knew about this issue:

My boy kitten loki is about 5 months old. Lately he sounds as if his nose is whistling as he breathes. He plays fine and is great all around. I just worry because I don't know how bad it affects him.

I myself have a hard time trying to whistle let alone from my mouth. So reading it here coming from a cat thru the nose made me chuckle a bit here, and really that is awful good indeed. Now that would be nice for me to do here and whistle thru my nose calling my dogs etc. I remember my father had the loudest whistle, he would place a finger on each side of his mouth positioning it somehow on his tongue and then do the whistle. It was so loud I could hear it a block away. Never been able to do it myself and now I regret it because it is a trick that my father knew and I never asked him to teach me. Rats. Today it would come in handy very definitely.

So from his passing I lost some very important knowledge of which he took to his grave. This is why I value information from older people because of their experience or knowledge of which many of us do not know about ourselves.

Do let me know what the VET found out OK. Take care

Okay, they seem to be fine sinus wise, but I got the boy fixed today and got both of their shots. I know they can be sore all over from the shots and all, but is it normal for her to hiss at her brother and not want 2 be anywhere near him? I mean, we just did it today, but I feel awful. I hated doing that to my babies.

nothing to worry about hissing is normal for a cat that does not want to be bothered.
