Feline Chlamydiosis question...

Post a new topicby tatumanderson on Wed Aug 27, 2008 9:44 am

So my kitten was diagnosed with Chlamydia just after I got him from the breeder. He was on Zithromax and the tetracycline ointment for the eyes. I wasn't able to use the eye ointment for more than a couple days as he was reacting badly to it. So the zithromax alone seemed to do it's job but now I'm wondering if it really was completely gone. He is a ragdoll and as far as i know they aren't supposed to have discharge of any sort from their eyes(not like persians and himilayans). he has continued to get dark brown/reddish discharge ever since the chlamydia. does anyone know if this is normal or could it be the chlamydia lingering??? please advise if anyone has some insight!!
