I currently have no dig. camera..so I can not provide photo, the polyps have the appearance of a warty growth just inside the ears..the vet states they are also deeper in the ear canal, do you have a cat with this diagnosis? My cats symptoms were scratching and shaking his head..when that would start I would use a ear cleanser and miticide, seemed to clear up the problem for a while only to start up again ..this time however it was different in that I could hear fluid in his ear canals, he was starting to bleed from one ear and when debris was swabbed I noticed the growths ..currently he is taking baytril & steriods, with tresederm to each ear and is to return to vet in 2 wks...

I think the ear polyps is only the hyperplasia by inflammation.don't worry!
use ear cleanser and miticide everyday!
after 1week ,he will decrease To scratch ,and the polyps will disappear in about 20days,

Thank-you so Much! Your words are reassuring! I have been reading and it seemed that surgery was the only solution, I had read they could be removed by pulling them off by the stalk and that they usually regrow within a few months...and often require a much more invasive surgery to remove a portion of bone, I am so RELIEVED to hear otherwise! Mr. Bads ears show improvment already, he has been a good kitty taking the meds & allowing swabbing/cleaning and application of drops..the polyps are the same size, the surrounding tissue does not look as inflamed & He is not scratching at them, so they have stopped bleeding...One question..do you think that the prescribed meds are sufficent Baytril 68 mg 1/2 Tab for 10 days :Prednisolone 5mg 1 every 12 hrs. for 3 days, then 1 tab/day for 3 days then 1 tab every other day for 6 days: tresaderm 4-5 drops per ear 2x daily for 10 days...I'm also assuming I should buy plenty of tresaderm for regular use? Again ,Thank-you so much! Also, when the vet looked microscopiclly at the ear debris they could not / did not see evidence of ear mites...
